Admissions
Two Ways to Participate
Opportunities for Participation
As part of our ongoing collaboration with the University of Minnesota Medical School, we are excited to extend to you the opportunity to contribute to the admissions process across all three campuses. Your involvement in this endeavor is crucial as we strive to uphold the highest standards of medical education and promote diversity and inclusivity within our institution.
Admissions Subcommittees
We are seeking 5-10 physicians to join the Admissions Subcommittees. These subcommittees focus on specific areas such as general admissions, indigenous mission, and rural mission. Participation in these subcommittees does not require a current faculty appointment. Members will be assigned to one of the three subcommittees based on their interests and expertise.
If you are interested, please email Jill Amsberry, DO.
Medical School Admissions Committee (MSAC) Seats
We have two seats available on the Medical School Admissions Committee (MSAC) for CentraCare physicians. The MSAC is responsible for reviewing approximately 5000 applications annually for MD programs spanning the Duluth (DU) and Twin Cities (TC) campuses.
Committee members engage in application review, candidate interviews, and participate in committee meetings to determine final admissions decisions. To be eligible for these positions, candidates must hold a current faculty appointment at the University of Minnesota, such as adjunct, assistant, associate, or professor.
