E&M Fireside Chat: Advanced Care Planning
Major E&M changes occurred for inpatient services as of January 2023! Supporting our patients and care teams with appropriate advanced care planning is an important and valuable clinical service. There are unique E&M rules that relate to when that work is recognized with separate CPT codes and associated wRVU. There are also important tools within the EMR that make this information accessible across the care continuum. Join us for an overview of these rules and a primer of EMR tips.
Objectives
Identical content will be offered at each session. Clinical Partners need only attend one. At the conclusion of this presentation participants will:
- Understand the Evaluation and Management (E&M) rules impacting advanced care planning
- Identify opportunities to incorporate this work into your documentation and EMR workflow
Presenters
