Introducing One.CentraCare.com

We never know what we’re made of until we’re tested. And we’ve been tested this last year.

We have witnessed loss and experienced heartache. We’ve felt isolated and at times afraid. Our resolve has been tested and now it appears our hopes will be realized through the presence of the vaccine.

Soon, we will be able to take stock of what we’ve been through. We’ll sift through the losses and find what we have also gained. Some of that is already evident. We’re more connected. We’re more innovative. We’re more nimble. And we’re of more comfort to each other.

By leaning into each other and rising up to this challenge, we have become stronger as OneCentraCare. And we will continue.

This space, One.CentraCare.com, is a place for us to connect. A place where you will learn through blogs and podcasts what leaders have on their minds and where leaders will learn what’s on your mind through polls, direct feedback and ideas that you share.

This is a space where we will celebrate the many remarkable individuals who make our organization and our community better. We’ll learn from them and be inspired by them, like so many colleagues were inspired by Dr. Jim Lundeen who just retired after 40 years.

This will be a space for confronting our own biases, especially as we learn how to move from racial disparities to racial equity in healthcare. We’ll look within (and beyond) our community for wisdom that can open our hearts and minds to help us see what we cannot see.

This will be a space to reimagine the patient health journey and our journey with them — mapping out innovations that will serve our patients well, while maintaining our own health and well-being.

One.CentraCare.com will be a place we share information and stories and remind ourselves of the purpose we share
