Only You

Only you know what it is like to coordinate a patient’s cancer journey and administer chemotherapy week after week after week.

Only you anticipate the nervousness of young parents as you teach them to bathe their baby for the first time.

Only you provide reassurance over the phone to an elderly gentleman so that he knows you will get him in to see his physician today.

Only you know the humming of IV pumps and monitoring equipment in the darkness of the night shift as you thoughtfully prepare your route into the patient’s room so to minimize the disruption to their sleep.

Only you keep up to date on the latest infection control practices and share your wealth of knowledge with an entire CentraCare team and the public to keep them safe.

Only you have prepared a body so beautifully after the death of a trauma patient so a family can say a final goodbye.

Only you carry the weight of this awesome profession with such grace and trust.

Thank you for the many ways that you innovate and solve real-life, in-the-moment problems. Thank you for the way you support your colleagues in their time of need. And thank you for having the purpose and the heart to do this work.
