Implicit biases are the unconscious stereotypes and attitudes that we develop toward certain groups of people. They can unintentionally affect patient relationships and care decisions. In this two-hour interactive workshop, participants will examine implicit bias in healthcare settings, understand how it contributes to health disparities, and learn practical strategies for mitigating the effects.

The Minnesota Medical Association (MMA) is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The Minnesota Medical Association designates this internet live activity for a maximum of 2 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Other health professionals (physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, etc.) who participate in this CME activity may submit their Statements of Attendance to their appropriate accrediting organizations or state boards for consideration of credit. The participant is responsible for determining whether this activity meets the requirements for acceptable continuing education.

How to claim credit
