Objectives

Dr. Minces will discuss the topic of Hyperlipidimia Management with pediatrician Jessica Najarian-Bell, MD, and cardiologist Sharath Subramanian, MBBS. At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Know background and latest guidelines for hyperlipidemia management.  
  2. Understand the role of non-statin therapies for lowering LDL-cholesterol. 
  3. Know a brief review of specific conditions–familial hypercholesterolemia and lipoprotein (a).  
  4. Understand lipid screening in pediatric patients. 
  5. Understand approaches to hyperlipidemia.  

Note: Identical content is offered at each session under the topic specific sessions; providers need only attend one.
