The management of bacteremia differs depending on syndrome and organism.

Objectives

Dr. Minces will discuss the topic of Bacteremia during the November Science of Practicing Medicine CME. At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:

  1. Understand the different implications on bacteremia depending on the organism.
  2. Initial approach for evaluation, empiric and definite therapy. 
  3. Subtleties in antibacterial choices and overall management. 

Note: Identical content is offered at each session under the topic specific sessions; providers need only attend one.
