DATA
Data is the most cumbersome of the three Medical Decision Making elements, simply because the regulation regarding how the data points are counted is quite complex.
- As a provider, you do NOT need to know exactly how you are graded unless you are interested in that level of detail; the comprehensive 30-minute education session on DATA (Fireside Chat #2) will get you into the weeds if you want to go there.
- For most, it is adequate to know what clinic work counts to data points in general — know the basic elements, trust your coder, and get back to clinical care. Check out our brief slide deck on DATA (below) or audio tips for this level of information.
