E&M Fireside Chat: New Consult Rules for 2023
Major E&M change is coming to Consultative services! We have been anticipating change to other areas since the 2021 rule changes for ambulatory visits. The changes moving through E/M rules are positive – generally they remove regulation around unnecessary detail leading to note bloat. However, they still represent change and the necessity to develop new skill sets. This obviously has significant impact on whether the complexity of the clinical encounter you had is fully represented in the documentation for the appropriate level of service. If your practice includes consultive services, please join us.
Objectives
Identical content will be offered at each session. Clinical Partners need only attend one. At the conclusion of this presentation participants will:
- Understand the 2023 Evaluation and Management (E&M) rule changes effecting inpatient Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) professional services.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate these changes in your documentation workflow.
