CentraCare Performance Excellence is excited to announce the launch of our continuous clinical education series with CME credit called The Science of Practicing Medicine. With this endeavor we will provide ongoing, consistent, and relevant education for our colleagues. Join Infectious Disease expert, Lucio Minces, MD, for clinical discussions with CentraCare physicians. Each CME session will explore significant updates on clinical standards.

Objectives
In this 11th session, Dr. Minces will discuss the Art and Science of the Doctor-Patient Relationship with Jessie Roske, MD and Fred Hund, MD. At the conclusion of this presentation, participants should be able to:
- Understand the evidence that compassion and trust can lead to better patient outcomes and greater resiliency among clinicians.
- Identify some concrete techniques for building trust as well as demonstrating compassion and professionalism in patient relationships.
- Identify some specific ideas and tangible steps that can help them focus on compassion and combat compassion fatigue.
